How to make SIP DoorBell Fon as connect to a VOIP system?
OVERVIEW
Making DoorBell Fon as a SIP doorbell is easy, and this document describes basic configuration to peer an IP Phone with ATA FXO-with a DP-28-C Controller’s To Phones port Connected to add Entry Control feature (SIP DoorBell) to your VOIP system. This scenario applies to users seeking to add a SIP Door intercom and/or an external PSTN trunk (for SIP DoorBell feature the PSTN is an option) to their VOIP system.
The document will demonstrate a method which you can set up VOIP phones with the DoorBell Fon (with a FXO as a SIP Doorbell).
This document describes basic configuration and procedures to connect SIP Phones (VOIP Phones) with long range remote DoorBell Fon with FXO function as a SIP Doorbell through internet or LAN (no distance limitation) by using the combination of FXO and SIP Phones (Grandstream GXP2140). This configuration applies to users seeking to add a DoorBell Fon not only as a remote Door-intercom and/or add an external PSTN trunk (option) for telephone service through internet or LAN by using FXO and VOIP Phones (Here we are using GRANDSTREAM HT813 (FXO) and GXP2140 IP phones as an example.) You can use any FXO with DoorBell Fon to make a Doorbell feature for VOIP system and IP Phones combination by follow the basic procedures, but consult your FXO and IP phones for the details of configure procedure variation.
The key are the SIP servers’ addresses for FXO and IP Phones. Follow these procedures, you will find the answers from your VOIP service provider.
